Why make a donation?

By making a donation, you will allow FAPE ENGIE Belgium to support the projects of associations working for the occupational and social integration of people experiencing hardship. You will be helping to enable hundreds of men and women to keep or regain a dignified social status through work.

Who can make a donation?

Anybody can become a donor. Whether you are a private donor in Belgium or abroad, a private company or a public body, and regardless of your employment status, you can make a voluntary donation to FAPE ENGIE Belgium.

How can you make a donation?

If you are a private individual:

Private individuals can make donations in various ways:

  • by means of a one-off payment made at any time of the year directly to the account managed by the King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) on behalf of FAPE ENGIE Belgium;
  • by means of a monthly payment (standing order) made from the donor’s  bank account to the account managed by the KBF on behalf of FAPE ENGIE Belgium.

If you are a company that wishes to develop its sponsorship, corporate social responsibility or social solidarity policies, you can make a donation to FAPE ENGIE Belgium with a tax relief rate of 60% of the value of the donation and worth up to 5/1000 of your turnover.
If you are an employee of an ENGIE Group subsidiary in Belgium which is a member of FAPE ENGIE Belgium:

If you are an employee of an ENGIE Group subsidiary in Belgium which is a member of FAPE ENGIE Belgium, the subsidiary will make a matching donation worth 100% of your donation to the Fund.

The King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) will ensure the anonymity of donations and will not provide lists of the names of donors to ENGIE Group subsidiaries. The KBF is responsible for the administrative management of the donations paid into the dedicated account held on behalf of FAPE ENGIE Belgium.

Tax credit 

  • Individual private donors are eligible for tax relief equivalent to 45% of the donations, provided that the latter’s value is over €40 on a yearly basis and does not exceed 10% of the donor’s professional income.
  • Business companies may deduct 35% of the amount of any donations made by them.
  • In both cases, the King Baudouin Foundation will be responsible for issuing the tax clearance certificates required for tax relief.
  • The amounts collected are consolidated by the KBF, which prepares a balance sheet every four months for submission to the Managing Director of FAPE ENGIE Belgium.
